|Wise Women Build
New Discipleship Class for Women
Wise Women Build is a women’s Bible study led by Jane Barnard that will help women build themselves, their marriage, their parenting skills and their home using wisdom from God’s Word. The class is based upon Proverbs 14:1, “The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands.” This 4-week study will begin Wednesday, April 22 at 6 pm in Room 112.
|Dare to Be Uncommon
New Discipleship Class for Men
Dare to Be Uncommon is a DVD teaching series by Tony Dungy, former coach of the Indianapolis Colts. In this 4-week character-building curriculum Coach Dungy will speak to men about how to be a man of integrity, how to be a leader at home, work and church, how to live with purpose, and how to reach your full potential in Christ. This study begins Wednesday, April 22 at 6 pm in Fellowship Hall Room C.

|Kids' Spring Musical: In the Big Inning
Sunday, May 3, 6 pm
The children’s choir (grades 1-5) will step up to the plate and swing for the fences of fun and faith in their spring musical, “In the Big Inning.” The event will be held on Sunday, May 3 in the West Wing of The ROC. An All-American hotdog dinner (pre-ticket only) will begin at 5 pm. Tickets are now on sale in the Welcome Center.
|Real Talk at the Café

All women are invited to Real Talk @ The Café on Tuesday, May 5 at 6:30 pm. Come enjoy truly “real” and “honest” talk. Join a group of diverse ladies as we walk through the everyday trials and joys of being a believer in today’s crazy world. Real Talk is a great “girl friend” night out and a great mother/daughter opportunity as well. Real Talk @ The Café is a a time to connect, laugh, cry, pray and share burdens.
|National Day of Prayer
Thursday, May 7
Join us as we gather in the Fellowship Hall on Thursday, May 7 from 12 noon to 1 pm for music, worship and prayer. A box lunch (barbecue brisket sandwich, coleslaw, baked beans, apple pie, tea and water) will be available for $4 and will be served from 11 to 11:30 am in the Fellowship Hall. Tickets are required for the lunch and may be purchased in the church office from April 20 through May 6.

|Join the Choir & Orchestra
Rehearsals each Wednesday
The Jonesboro Worship Choir and Orchestra welcomes new singers and musicians.
CHOIR: The choir welcomes everyone 18 years or older who loves Jesus, is passionate about leading worship, can commit to weekly rehearsals and services, and can carry a tune! Auditions not required for choir participation. Rehearsals are held at 6:45 pm in the Choir Room.
ORCHESTRA: Orchestra participation requires at least two years of experience on an instrument. Woodwinds, brass, strings and percussion are welcome. Rehearsals are held at 6:45 pm in the Worship Center.

The theme for the 2015 summer retreat (June 29 through July 3) will be Endurance based on I Corinthians 9:24. Cost will be $189 plus four meals. Deadline for registration is June 17. Multi-student family discounts are available. Speaker will be Lee McBride and music will be by The Moore Band. Registrations begins April 26. $25 holds your spot.
|Student Leaders One Day Conference
The 7th annual conference will be held on Monday, July 20 from 9 am to 3:30 pm at the FBJ Fellowship Hall. Cost is $10 per student. Guest facilitators include The Honorable Judge Bobby Simmons, Clayton County Juvenile Court Judge (and saxophone player in the FBJ orchestra); Dr. Debbie Phillips, President of The Quadrillion and Adjunct Professor at UGA and Georgia Tech (and mother of FBJ’s Anna Scott); and Rev. David Guinn, President of Action Ministries/Olympic Sports Chaplain (mentor of Larry Lawrence since 1968).

The annual adult trip to the Celebrator’s Conference will be held October 19-22 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
