On Sunday, September 7, we will have a special service to welcome our guests and make them feel comfortable. Ask your Sunday school teacher how you can help with this outreach.

|Christmas in Romania
Collecting Items Each Sunday in August
Each August items are collected and shipped to Romania. Our members distribute these in December as an important part of the strategy to carry the Gospel to people who have never heard. Help provide for the very poor by donating Barbie dolls & baby dolls, cars/trucks, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, socks, gloves, scarves and handmade & knitted items (blankets & quilts).

Speakers are Allen Jackson, PhD, Professor of Youth Education and Collegiate Ministry at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary; Johnny L. Deruouen, PhD, Associate Professor of Student Ministry at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Alvin L. |Real Talk at the Cafe
Tuesday, September 2, 6:30 - 8:30 pm
All women are invited to Real Talk on Tuesday, September 2, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Melody will interview a former prostitute and drug addict who has encountered a real God that radically changed her life. Come for the fellowship, testimonies and to be changed by our great God. Doors at the Café open at 5:45 pm.
The Sons of Jubal will be in concert at FBJ on Thursday, September 11 at 7 pm in the Worship Center. This male chorus is composed of ministers of music who serve in churches of the Georgia Baptist Convention. Sons of Jubal is a music and missions organization whose members are committed to worship enrichment and gospel proclamation. The group has traveled extensively on mission throughout its history in Georgia, the U.S. and to other countries.
|An Introduction to Painting event led by Sarah Blackaby will be held on Saturday, September 13 from 10 am to 1 pm in Room 120. Cost is $15 which includes lunch. Click here to register.

Both new and returning volunteers are needed to train for a public emergency on Saturday, September 20, 8 am to 2 pm, in the Celebration Room of the ROC. A women’s retreat will be held October 10-11 at Camp Carter. Julie Cook will be teaching on “Never in Need: Declaring Your Dependence on Jesus.” She will address questions such as: What do you believe about difficult times in your life?
